Mission

The STEWARDship Workshop seeks to bring together scientists, Christian leaders, ethicists, environmentalists, and scholars of religion with a view to sharing resources, and to promoting reflection, mutual understanding, and concern regarding our environmental responsibilities.  We seek to cooperate broadly with interested religious, academic, and community groups.

Description

The STEWARDship Workshop is an ongoing collaborative effort involving church leaders, scientists, ethicists, and scholars of religion. We are joining together to achieve a deeper understanding of the most pressing environmental issues in all of their dimensions (scientific, social, religious, ethical, etc.). Our aim is to think together creatively about how to respond to current ecological and social realities. In the process we aim to define the implications for how we should live, what our responsibilities are as global citizens, what the Christian tradition has to say about these matters, and how we can work together to fulfill our responsibilities to each other and toward the earth. We intend to have an expanding circle of impact through follow-up workshops, reunions, and major speakers throughout the year.
